Come and get your fix of Commander AND Limited at the same time with our weekly Commander drafts, every Friday with sign-ups at 6pm. Every Legendary Creature gains the ‘partner’ keyword, (or you can choose an Uncommon creature to be one of your partners), and you’ll play in a free-for-all multiplayer game!
Each player will get a special token featuring art made by a Magic artist just for us – that’s right, we create, commission and offer these exclusively to Commander Draft players!
Monthly Exclusive Tokens
Each month we will have a new, exclusive Artist Series token with original art from some of Magic’s favorite artists. This season the promos are done by a variety of artists, including Alan Pollack, Skinner, Carly Mazur, and Nathan Jurevicius. Seasonal Rewards
This season you can earn a promo foil Neon Yellow Cavern of Souls for playing in at least 10 drafts OR one of just a few MagicCon Unknown Event Playtest cards. (both are while supplies last). This season we’re also releasing the previous seasons’ tokens as an option for players that want to “catch up” – do 10 drafts between October 3rd and January 9th, and get 1 of each remaining token from previous seasons. So you can get the old tokens, and a Neon Yellow Cavern of Souls OR a MagicCon Unknown Event Playtest card. All are while supplies last.
Format
Each season, we’ll rotate the specific packs available on a given FNM to create a curated Commander Draft experience. For the first few weeks, you can expect to draft 1 Pack of Final Fantasy, 1 of March of the Machine, and 1 of a Wild Card set! The Wild Card will typically be the most recent Standard set, but it’s been known to change!
Registration is at 6 pm, with draft beginning at 6:30. Draft will be 45 minutes, with players constructing a 40 card Commander deck (instead of 60) in the Commander Draft format. Players will play 1 round at a pod of 3 or 4 players, with a round timer of 2 hours. The last player standing will earn 2 Play boosters, everyone else will get 1 Play booster. All players participating will get that month’s token, and a stamp toward their Cavern of Souls.
Cost
Like our Standard Draft on Wednesday, these drafts are $25. Come in Fridays at 6pm, and be ready to rumble! (With cardboard.)
