A New Pokemon Challenge Awaits!
Looking for a casual vacation away from the current format? Do you enjoy deck building? Have you looked at your old bulk lately and wondered what you can build with it? If you answered YES to any or all of these, then I have some good news! Let me introduce you to the Casual GLC League here at Just Games. Cost is $8
What is Gym Leader Challenge (or GLC for short)?
- Your deck can only contain one type (color) of Pokémon.
- Only one of each card with the same name is allowed in a deck, except for Basic Energy.
- Cards with a Rule Box are not allowed (GX, V, VStar, EX, ACE SPEC, Radiant, BREAK, Prism Star)
- Any cards from base Black & White (2011) – onwards, and a short ban list
- 60 card decks are built & 6 Prize Card games are played with the most current Pokemon TCG rules.
What is the Just Games Casual GLC League?
We’ve heard the murmurs of deck builders building a GLC deck with minimal places to play. Our goal is to provide a space where everyone can come together to play. Why casual and not a tournament? We know not everyone has a tournament ready deck and a casual play setting is also more laid back and fun! This way we base our prize support not on placement in a tournament, but on achievements completed. This allows for more deck building strategies and more uses for your favorite Pokemon.
What are these achievements we speak of? Well it’d be none other than our very own Bingo sheets. This little contraption gives you a few quirky challenges to test your deckbuilding skills and to add more variety to the games you would play here. Not to mention the rewards for completing rows, columns, diagonals and for completing the whole page. Completing a Bingo board also gives you access to a harder board that includes a challenge with all the color types. Think you can master all the color types? Then come on down and show us by completing our regular board first!
Prizes
- Event entry: 1 current season prize pack for playing on the day
- Finish a Row | 1 past season prize pack or promo item while supplies last (dice, coins, etc)
- Finish a Column | 1 past season pack or promo item while supplies last (dice, coins, etc)
- Finish a Diagonal | 2 past season prize packs
- Finish the Whole Grid | 3 past season Prize packs
Prizes are additional and cumulative, so finishing the entire board would get a player a minimum of 26 prize packs or promotional items based on the season we’re in.
