Looking for a low-stakes way to try out the longest-running and most iconic trading card game of all time? Come to Just Games on Friday nights starting Nov 13 at 6 pm and running each Wednesday through Nov 27 and learn to play alongside fellow new players, and start your collection along the way!
Week 1
The first week we’ll go over the basics of the game: playing lands, casting spells… you know, wizard stuff! This week you’ll walk away with some starter decks, a Monastery Swiftspear promo, as well as a welcome booster to well, welcome you to the game!
Week 2
For the second week, we’ll cover the fundamentals of deckbuilding- you’ll get 3 booster packs of Magic Foundations and a Welcome Booster to open and add to your starter decks from Week 1. We’ll guide you through card selection, and then you’ll try your hand at playing sealed – this format will feel VERY much like a prerelease, so if you’ve wanted to learn it (or if you just love Sealed) this week is for you! At the end, you’ll walk away with the cards you drafted, a uniquely styled Sleight of Hand promo, and an additional play booster of Foundations just for playing.
Week 3
On the third and final week, you’ll have a shot at a guided draft where you can ask our Magic instructor questions. When you’re done, you’ll get another Foundations play booster just for playing, and you’ll also get this a super shiny Magic anniversary promo for playing!
