Got your eye on a game, but you’re not quite sure if you want it to be a permanent addition to your collection? Or maybe you want to test out a wide swath of games without eating up all that limited shelf space? Check out the rental library!
The first step is simple: figure out what game you want to play! With over 700 games to try, you’re sure to find something you’ve been meaning to play through. And if you’re not sure, you can always ask a staff member for recommendations, in case you couldn’t guess: we like board games here.
Next up is to see if we have it in our library. You can do that either in-store by asking a staff member, or by heading to the rental section on our webstore and seeing what’s what!
Then, bring the game to the front and check it out. Now you’ve got 4 days after you check it out to try out the game as much as you like! Bring it on vacation, take it to a party, play it at home, or don’t play it at all, we can’t stop you.
But here’s the best part: when your rental comes back on time, you get the fee you paid for it back as store credit! So if you tried out Root and really loved it, you can put that credit towards getting your forever-copy. Regardless, the credit never expires, and is good for almost anything on the shelf: board games, dice, role-playing games, trading card singles or packs. The only exception of course is putting the credit toward another rental; that’s like putting a bag of holding into another bag of holding. (Explosive and bad for your health.)
