My dear Bagginses, Boffins, Tooks and Brandybucks, if you’re new to Magic and are looking for a laid back event to ease you in, this is it! Come play Magic with us in-store with a brand new set themed around characters and scenes from Lord of the Rings, and receive lots of sweet cards for doing so! No prior spell-slinging experience is necessary for this special prerelease event.
Prerelease is an event that happens with the release of each new Magic set, and this time around it’s Lord of the Rings flavored! Each player gets a kit containing packs and special promos from which you’ll build a deck to play with. But don’t worry if you’re uncertain how to put together a deck, because limited Magic enthusiast Mikey will be there to walk you through every step of the way.

Each player will receive a Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle Earth prerelease kit, and will have an extended build timer to get a feel for deckbuilding. After that you will play two best-of-three rounds in a low-stakes environment against your fellow learn-to-players. And just for playing, each player will receive two additional boosters of Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle Earth, a Magic Starter kit with two ready-to-play 60 card decks, and a special 30th Anniversary Promo Wood Elves with art by renowned fantasy artist Rebecca Guay, which can’t be obtained at any other prerelease event we’re running. All these new cards will make for a great entry point into the world’s most popular trading card game!
